Merchant eligibility based on business location
Our payment gateway and billing platform are technical services outside the scope of licensed activity and are integrated with many other acquirers around the world. However, to work for you holistically, you must use them with an acquirer's licensed services to provide you with a connected merchant account.
Our partner acquirers are licensed in the EU and UK (the EEA), so to use their services, your business must be registered and physically located within the EEA. To satisfy this requirement, you may be asked to demonstrate that your operating headquarters are located in the region and that you are registered with the local tax and VAT schemes. Your managing director and authorised signatory must also be resident in the EEA.
