Settlement times

Your acquirer will pay you after a settlement cycle and a delay. Settlement times and delays depend on your agreement with your acquirer based on your business type. You can have a daily, weekly, or monthly settlement cycle with different delays, such as 2 or 3 days. The reports in the merchant hub contain data from the previous day.

The actions that make up the settlement cycle are described in the following table.

Authorisation	The transaction is sent to the issuing bank for authorisation and approved or declined.	Every day
Clearing	A group of authorised transactions are sent to the issuing bank for clearing.	Every day with a cutoff at 22:15 UTC
Batching and posting	The merchant sends a group of cleared transactions for funding.	Business days only
Funding report	The funding report is available daily in the merchant hub the day after batching and posting.	Depending on the acquirer, it may be business days only or all days
Payment advice	The payment advice entry is generated for each settlement cycle a day after the settlement cycle cutoff.	Business days only
Funding	Payment is posted to the merchant's bank account.	Business days only
Payment	Payment is released and available in the merchant's bank account.	Business days only

Bank holidays in any country involved in your settlement may cause additional delays.

Daily settlement with delays

The following chart shows when payments will be released for daily settlement with delays of 2 days, 3 days and 7 days. The settlement cycle always starts at 22:15 UTC on the previous business day and ends at 22:15 UTC on the current business day.

Daily settlement with a 2-day delay for a week

The following chart shows when payment will be released for daily settlement with a 2-day delay and for authorisations made on each day of the week.

Weekly settlement with delays

The following chart shows when payments will be released for weekly settlement with delays of 2 days, 3 days and 7 days. The settlement cycle always starts and ends on Mondays at 22:15 UTC.

Monthly settlement with delay

The following chart shows when payments will be released for monthly settlement with a 2-day delay. The settlement cycle always starts and ends on the last day of the month at 22:15 UTC.
